Analysis of National Level Science and Technology Award Achievements in Fruit Tree Field in China from 2011 to 2021

Abstract

Objective National science and technology reward system is of great significance to promote Chinese science and technology innovation ability. This article analyzed fruit trees achievement awards in National Science and Technology Award (shortened form National Award ), Shen Nong China Agricultural Science and Technology Award (shortened form Shen Nong Award), and National Harvest Award for Agriculture, Animal Ausbandry and Fishery (shortened form Harvest Award ). Analysis result will provide data support for the researchers to conduct further research and declare reward in fruit trees field, and for the science and technology reward and scientific management people to conduct project management and incentive plan. The result will also be contribute to enhancing the scientific and technological innovation ability of fruit industry. Method By downloading the data of the National Award, Shen Nong Award, and Harvest Award from the official website, and then using the Filter and PivotChart features in EXCEL2010, to analyze and plot from the aspects of the number of awards, the finishing units, the tree species and the changing trend, and so on. Result In the past 10 years, there were 18 National Awards, 80 Shen Nong Awards and 97 Harvest Awards in the fruit tree field. Among the National Awards, the university as the first finishing unit is account for 72.22%, and the research institute is 27.78%. Apple, pear, citrus trees received more National Awards. In the Shennong Awards, the university as the first finishing unit is account for 59.72%, and the research institute is 31.94%, and citrus, apple, pear, grape and kiwifruit trees were the most awards. Among the Harvest Awards, the research institute as the first finishing unit is account for 46.39%, and the agricultural technical extension service unit is 37.11%, and citrus, apple, strawberry, grape and cherry fruit trees were awarded more prizes. Conclusion The industry of characteristic fruit trees is developing rapidly in China, and the number of achievement awards about characteristic fruit trees is increasing. The gap between the number of awards for characteristic trees and dominant trees is narrowing. Under the guidance of "Four Aspects", scientific researchers should strengthen the strategic layout and planning, stabilize and expand the basic research team, strengthen collaborative innovation, pay more attention to the summary and refinement of research results and the declaration of awards, and strive for more national awards.
