Abstract:

The pear stem ring rot caused by Botryosphaeria dothidea can cause coarsebark, tree vigour decline, and seriously affect the yield. Breeding and application of resistant varieties are the most economical and effective measures to control this disease and also one of the objectives of pear breeding. However, there are still few researches on the genetic regularity, molecular markers and genes of resistance to pear stem ring rot. In this study, the disease severity and resistance level data of 697 F1 individuals belong to three crossings, including ‘pingguoli × Bayuehong’, ‘Pingguoli × Hongxiangsu’ and ‘Bayuehong × Hongxiangsu’, were collected from 2017 to 2021. The results showed that the number of high-resistance plants was the largest in F1 generation of the three crossings, and the isolation ratios of resistance and susceptibility were 12.2∶1, 7.72∶1 and 5.31∶1, respectively. The data will lay the foundation for analyzing the genetic rules of pear ring rot resistance, screening resistant molecular markers, and mining resistance genes in the future, and provide data support for pear hybrid combination selection and breeding of ring rot resistant varieties.
