Abstract:

In 2021, the cultivation area of strawberry was more than 2.5 million mu in China, the varieties were mainly Japanese varieties 'Benihoppe' ' Akihime' and the American variety 'Sweet Charlie', the proportion of Chinese independent breeding varieties was relatively low, close to 10%. In order to breed strawberry varieties suitable for cultivation in China, the strawberry research group of the Institute of Fruit Trees, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences selected 'Sweet Charlie' with prostrate leaves, higher hardness, higher disease resistance, and slightly lower soluble solids content, selected the Japanese cultivars 'Benihoppe', 'Akihime', '‘Sachinoka', 'Taoxun' with lower disease resistance, selected China's strawberry cultivar 'Xuelixiang' as parents, designed 14 combinations, and tested the plant height, soluble solids content, fruit weight, firmness and incidence of powdery mildew of 3388 hybrid seedlings and 6parents. The data in this part could be used to analyze the distribution range of strawberry height, single fruit weight, soluble solid content, firmness and incidence of powdery mildew in different combinations, reveal the genetic rule of cultivated strawberries, and point out the direction for strawberry domestic breeding work.
