Dataset of Sugar and Acid Contents ofNagafu 2From Different Regions in China

Abstract:

Apple is the important fruits in the world. The apple planting area and yield of China are ranked the first in the world. ‘Fuji’ apple is the main varieties in China. ‘Nagafu 2’ is the first ‘Fuji’ apple excellent strain with color which was introduced into China, and distributed in the main apple production areas. The flavor of sugar and acid in apple have important influence on fruit quality, and they are important reference index for selection of germplasm resources, breeding of new varieties, fruit evaluation of hybrid progeny and evaluation of cultivation techniques. In this study, the ‘Nagafu 2’ apples collected from 10 major apple producing provinces were detected the content of four kinds of sugar and four kinds of acid, and calculate the proportion. We obtained the dataset of sugar and acid contents of ‘Nagafu 2’ from different regions in China in 2017 and 2018. The results showed that the fructose content of ‘Nagafu 2’ apple sugar component was the highest and the sorbitol content was the lowest, and the total sugar content was between 6.18~17.63g/100g. The malic acid content of ‘Nagafu 2’ apple acid component was the highest and shikimic acid was the lowest, and the total acid content was between 0.247~0.673g/100g. This dataset will lay the foundation for the quality evaluation of ‘Nagafu 2’ apple from different various areas, and provide data support for the rational layout of apple production areas.
