Abstract:

Scientific data encompass data and materials that are generated through scientific and technological activities performed within a society as well as data products and related information that are systematically processed according to varying needs. The replicability and comprehensive application of scientific data determine the shareable characteristics of data resources. Moreover, it is apparent that complete sharing and the comprehensive application of data are prerequisites for maximizing the value of scientific data resources. Advancements within society, brought about by the development of science and technology over time, have led to the systematic collection of rich scientific data relating to animal husbandry. Accurate data generation reflects the crystallization of successful scientific research, while also constituting an important theoretical foundation for emerging scientific research. Mastering a large number of authoritative scientific data and economic data means mastering the capital of scientific development and technological innovations. At the same time, the sources of scientific data are no longer limited to a single discipline; rather, they clearly exhibit the characteristics of interdisciplinarity and of cross applications across disciplines. The construction of a platform for sharing economic, scientific, and technological data and literature on animal husbandry in Xinjiang can provide a source of reliable data for ensuring the safety of animal products, ecologies, and resources and can promote social stability in Xinjiang. Moreover, such a platform can provide data to support scientific and technological innovations to advance the field of animal husbandry. Consequently, animal husbandry in Xinjiang can be improved through the efficient allocation and comprehensive integration of science and technology and of resources across disciplines. Efforts aimed at significantly advancing independent innovations within animal husbandry are critical. This paper proposes content and innovations for developing such a platform, and explains the development and direction of the platform.
