Abstract:

Hengshui is a traditional agricultural city, and also the granary of the North China Plain, an important base that supplies high-quality green agricultural products to Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. To promote local biological control of agricultural pests, it is important to survey natural enemy resources such as coccinellid beetles and to investigate their occurrence. Data presented herein were collected from 2018 to 2020 in HUJIACHI Experimental station, Dryland Farming Institute, Hebei Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences (Hengshui Academy of Sciences), the plant and animal resources and biodiversity of the observatory are high, and the natural enemy resources such as ladybug are abundant. The dataset includes resources of local natural enemies, especially coccinellid beetles, their population dynamic data, and information about malaise trap insect collections. It also includes environmental, ecological, and climatic data of the survey site. The dataset concludes 312 data of natural enemy resource, population dynamic, malaise trap, 918 pictures, 51 malaise trap collecting bottles and 1408 climatic records. This dataset provided basic information about natural enemy resources in Hengshui, which allows future analyzing of natural enemy occurrence and population dynamics, and investigating impact of climate change and other factors on natural enemies.

Key words: Hengshui, Coccinellidae, natural enemy resources, population dynamics, Malaise trap
